Ella Sahertian

Program Associate

 
 

Ella Sahertian is a Program Associate at Resilient Cities Catalyst, where she supports collaboration with communities, cities, and partners on a wide range of high-impact resilience projects.

Before joining RCC, Ella supported the Affordable Housing Institute (AHI) in tackling global housing issues by conducting housing ecosystem analyses and designing affordable housing strategies for low-income households. She worked on housing policy and finance projects in various countries, including Solomon Islands, Jamaica, India, Mexico, South Africa, Maldives, and the Philippines, for clients such as the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, Inter-American Development Bank, and Habitat for Humanity International. Outside of her work with AHI, Ella worked on numerous resilience initiatives in the US as a consultant for Climate Resilience Consulting.

Prior to graduate school, Ella served as a Research Analyst at United Way. In this role, she utilized data and GIS analysis to guide policy and advocacy initiatives, including supporting low-income neighborhood leaders in solving housing and socio-economic problems in their communities.

She holds a master's degree in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University and a BA with Honors in International Studies and a minor in Community Development from Covenant College.
